I am so lucky that my mother is such an avid gardener. In summer her garden is full to bursting with amazing flowers which I have taken full advantage of this year by photographing the ones that I thought would work nicely in my wedding designs.

Harriet came to me with a tight deadline and just a loose brief of what she wanted – Mauve, Lavender and Grey with an accent of navy, something floral and pretty. The rest was up to me, which i LOVE! These colours were a beautiful match, lending a rustic and romantic feel to the design.

I used Photoshop to cut out a few different flowers, filter them to give a painted effect and recoloured so they all blended through the same tones, in-keeping with the colour scheme. I then arranged and layered them over one another to create a backdrop for the text.

I chose a beautiful, classic typeface for the happy couple’s names and to pick out some titles. This paired well with a serif for a clean but elegant finish.

And I think the bride liked them too…
